Christopher Hutchison has a Bachelor of Design degree in Industrial Design from the University of Alberta and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Calgary. He has over a decade of professional experience in the design industry, specializing in innovation, digital design/fabrication, inclusive design, and sustainability.
Christopher has designed for international apparel brands, collaborated with renowned artists, designers, and professionals, and consulted for top firms in the industry. From the runways of New York Fashion Week to retail locations around the world, his work is connected by applying architectural thinking to the design of everyday objects -- seeking a deeper understanding of human interaction, environmental context, and material innovation.
Throughout his career, Christopher has travelled extensively in Europe, Asia and South America, sourcing materials and suppliers, and developing successful product lines with international manufacturers.
His work has been featured in collaborations with Anna Sui, Star Trek, Zandra Rhodes, George Clinton, and Jimi Hendrix.
